MONDOVI
TRENTO
A three cities event
This unique event has been realized on the occasion of the 300th death anniversary of this extraordinary baroque artist. Three important cities on his artistic path. Mondovì, Trento and Rome. Three places where to meet, to know and to fall in love with an astonishing talent, technical capability, inspiration and innovation. We found all these skills merged into the absolute masterpieces of the European baroque art.
Mondovì: The Church of Saint Francisco Saverio has been closed for five years for exceptional restoration jobs, which have given back the ancient splendor of the ceiling with that imposing optical illusion. An event inside the building site. It is possible to go up on to the 20 meters high scaffolds, in order to admire closely the perspective mirage created from Andrea Pozzo.

BUILDING SITE EVENT IN THE CHURCH OF THE MISSION. PAINTINGS SEEN AT CLOSE
Trento: An altar pieces exhibition where to see paintings and sketches coming from various and sometimes inaccessible places of the northern Italy. It is really an extraordinary journey between the painter’s creative flair and theatrical language, where the set becomes poetry.
ANDREA POZZO. PERSPECTIVE PAINTER IN NORTH ITALY
Roma: One of the most important art technique used by Andrea Pozzo was the “ tromp d’oeil”. This optical illusion is found in sketches, outlines, studies and in a series of drawings and mathematical applications. It is really an unique journey in order to understand those illusion techniques, which have been brought to fruition in the Church of the Jesus, in the Church of Sant'Ignazio and in the Professa House of the Jesuits in Rome.
